It is usually an exciting day to meet another "black" flower and the joint-stemmed, four meter high Black Wax Ginger did not disappoint. Apparently there are even blacker flowering species! Here pictured with a tiny Piper seedling growing from within it's bracts, is not the tropics incredible?
