The critically threatened Pritchardia, or Loulo, are the only palms native to Hawaii. At one point there were only a dozen individual plants of this species remaining in the wild due to grazing and fire. They are recorded to have grown to 130 ft! Photographed here at the Amy B. H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden.
